Shell

Shell in Slovakia and Czech Republic identified opportunities to enhance the usability and mobility of its previous Blue Yonder Store Execution system. While the previous version was robust and rich in data, Blue Yonder worked closely with Shell to optimize the interface and functionality—making the system more intuitive, mobile-friendly, and accessible directly from the shop floor.
These enhancements allowed store managers to engage more actively with staff and focus on elevating customer experience, rather than being tied to back-office PCs.
Managing daily store activities involves balancing multiple responsibilities. Shell has adopted Blue Yonder’s mobile solution across Slovakia and the Czech Republic to support tasks such as forecasting, ordering, replenishment, and accounting. This approach helps site managers stay focused on customer service and store performance.
Smarter inventory and replenishment
Today, Shell is benefitting from the improved capabilities of Store Execution—Blue Yonder’s SaaS solution for convenience retailers—to automate the daily activities of forecasting, ordering, replenishment, and inventory placement. The retailer is also leveraging real-time cash, items, and price management functionality to keep stores running efficiently. Powerful reporting and analytics keep Shell on track to optimize ordering, minimize inventory investments, enhance service and availability, and increase sales by reducing stockouts.
Powered by Microsoft Azure
From an IT standpoint, Store Execution—delivered on the Microsoft Azure platform—can contribute to a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Shell benefits from faster upgrades and improved connectivity, which helps stores stay responsive and efficient.
Using the latest mobile technology from Blue Yonder from automated forecasting, ordering, and replenishment to fast, accurate inventory execution, Shell continues to improve service quality and item availability, while enhancing operational efficiency and managing inventory investments effectively.
