Blue Yonder's Sustainability Commitment

Building sustainable supply chains and reducing waste

Blue Yonder is committed to environmental responsibility by developing solutions that help our customers meet their sustainability goals. As an organization, we conduct business responsibly and proactively to reduce our environmental impact. We strive to conserve natural resources and minimize waste through reducing our global real estate footprint, improving workspace design, increasing employee awareness, reducing power usage, participating in recycling programs, and encouraging associates to reduce travel by using collaboration tools and programs available.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

Blue Yonder continues to reduce the company’s carbon footprint through the following initiatives:
Associate Education

Associate Education

Along with awareness and education, we have established local green teams in Blue Yonder offices around the world. These teams organize events to educate associates on sustainability efforts in areas such as energy use, recycling, travel reduction through use of technology solutions and more.
Real Estate & Workplace

Real Estate & Workplace

Reductions in our global physical footprint are resulting in less energy use overall by Blue Yonder. Workplace initiatives such as ridesharing or the use of public transportation help to reduce air pollution. Most offices are designed with motion-sensitive light sensors to manage electricity use. Many of our offices also offer parking spaces for hybrid vehicles.
Recycling & Reduction

Recycling & Reduction

Office recycling programs help us minimize the amount of waste that goes into landfills. The majority of Blue Yonder printers are set for duplex printing to reduce paper use. The sleep time for printers has been set to reduce energy consumption. We partner with technology disposition companies to remove and properly recycle equipment.

The Canopy Project

In addition to improving Blue Yonder’s tools to help reduce travel, Blue Yonder has committed to contribute to The Canopy Project. Earth Day Network developed this project as part of its mission to protect natural lands and preserve the environment. Their goal is to plant trees that help communities sustain themselves and their local economies. The Canopy Project has planted over 1.5 million trees in 18 countries over the past several years. Blue Yonder donated $1 on Earth Day 2019 for every airfare flight taken in 2018. This is the third year in a row Blue Yonder has donated which represents over 73,000 trees planted.
