Blue Yonder Interns Share Their Stories in Honor of National Intern Day

National Intern Day, observed this year on July 31, is dedicated to acknowledging and valuing the significant contributions interns bring to organizations. At Blue Yonder, we offer a comprehensive and immersive intern program designed for students to gain practical knowledge and skills in supply chain management, technology solutions and business-related fields. We asked our interns about the highlights of their experiences in the program. Below are some of the responses they shared with us:

Dallas Brown, Presales (U.S.): This summer at Blue Yonder, I was able to learn how powerful it is to turn customer data into actionable insights that drive performance, predict trends and support sales strategy. Building live dashboards for the Edge Technology team taught me how to connect insights with business goals in a real-world setting! Everyone here at Blue Yonder has been great - it’s a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Esha Bandi, Cloud Services (U.S.): As an intern at Blue Yonder, I've not only found the work that I'm doing enjoyable, but I’m also consistently presented with new opportunities to grow and learn. Each day brings the chance to develop both technical and interpersonal skills, all within a collaborative and supportive environment that truly fosters my success!

Nithin Balaji Dodda, Product Development (India): My internship at Blue Yonder was an incredible opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. As someone new to the professional environment, I was warmly welcomed into a culture that truly lives its Core Values of Respect, Inclusion, Integrity, and Empathy. Beyond the hands-on experience and supportive mentorship, I enjoyed the vibrant company culture—from corporate cricket matches on weekends to inspiring leadership talks that encouraged me to think bigger. Being part of such a dynamic team, where collaboration and fun go hand in hand, made my time here truly rewarding.

Shreeya Madhavanur, Product Management Group (U.S.): My time here so far has been extremely meaningful. My supervisor has always made time to frequently check in with me and help me navigate any challenges or difficulties. Through the internship program, I've had the opportunity to ask questions to individuals in various areas and levels of the organization, and in turn, gained extremely valuable insights. The fact that these individuals have taken time out of their busy days to chat with us interns has demonstrated to me the strong sense of community and mentorship that exists at Blue Yonder. This program has helped me cultivate skills that will set me up for future professional success.

Shwetha Shankar, Product Development (Germany): I have been a working student at flexis, part of Blue Yonder, for about 1.5 years, and this experience has greatly contributed to my professional and personal growth. The open and approachable culture here has allowed me to feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and actively seeking feedback. I have received valuable guidance and advice from experienced colleagues who are always ready to support and mentor me. My manager has been incredibly supportive, regularly checking in to ensure I have everything I need and encouraging my development. Overall, I truly enjoy working here and feel fortunate to be part of such a positive and collaborative team. I look forward to continuing my journey here in the future.

Tavishka Arora, Product Development (U.S.): Interning at Blue Yonder has been an incredible opportunity to work on innovative technology alongside a supportive, visionary team. From designing intelligent multi-agent systems to implementing real-world generative AI planning solutions, I’ve gained hands-on experience that’s both challenging and deeply rewarding. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and the mentorship that came with it!

Y Sai Kumar, Product Development (India): As an Associate Software Engineer Intern on the Warehouse Execution System Masterminds team, I had the chance to work on a replica of the system that helped me understand its core workflows and architecture. Coming from college projects, I initially found the complexity of real-time systems a bit overwhelming. But the experience of seeing how large-scale, real-world use cases are handled through code was eye-opening. What made the biggest difference was the team was incredibly supportive and welcoming. As the team’s name suggests, I truly got to work with some brilliant minds who were always ready to help. The culture at Blue Yonder is one of the best I’ve experienced. It encourages learning, collaboration and curiosity. One piece of advice I’d give to future interns is: never hesitate to ask questions. No one here will judge you—in fact, questions are how you grow. The more you ask, the faster you’ll learn, and soon enough, even the tough challenges will start to feel manageable.

Shiv Jarodiya, Cloud Services (U.S.): The conversations and connections I'm making here at Blue Yonder not only make me feel welcomed but are teaching me transferable skills that will help me in my career goals!
