The Opportunity, and Challenge, of E-Commerce
The Wall Street Journal
According to media and research organization Digital Commerce 360, U.S. e-commerce grew by 44% in 2020, to $861 billion. While the growth is obviously substantial, the company notes that digital sales were previously projected to hit that number in 2022. And that rapid growth, while a benefit to consumers, created challenges for the businesses behind the “buy” button.
