Boosting the Retail Experience in 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on retail that will continue in 2021 and beyond. In one fell swoop, consumers pivoted from shopping in stores to shopping online when nonessential stores closed and health departments urged caution. To address health and safety concerns and meet local regulations, retailers quickly added speed and convenience options, such as buy online and pick up in store (BOPIS) and curbside pickup, along with more robust shipping choices. With both options exploding in growth, the way shoppers and retailers interact has permanently changed.
